MK Population Predictor
Using Differential Equations to predict population growth with time and space
About This Project
Research Background
The population of Zambia was projected to rise from 4.1 million in 1968 to 16.8 million in 2017 and to 25.2 million by 2030 (UNDP, 2018). This innovative mathematical model uses Differential Equations to provide accurate projections for better planning.
Key Objectives
- Predict Zambia's population growth with time
- Determine carrying capacity
- Forecast when carrying capacity will be reached
- Apply model to other species
